There is a great comment peice in the Independent today about the military by Bruce Anderson. I agree with every point. I know. Incredible given it is the Indy.
Among other things he is right to say the Harry in Afghanistan has raised moral in the Army and make the nation proud. I think that is true (certainly made John Snow look bad). He also alludes to the fact that the Labour Government has asked the military to do everything and given them nothing to do it with. If anything the military have suffered even more due to their ability to get on a do a job in any circumstances.
